Cehegín City Council, through the Department of Environment, directed by Maria Dolores Carrasco returns to participate once again in the 'Earth Hour' campaign in support of the fight against climate change, in which thousands of cities around the world will turn off for one hour illumination of monuments and emblematic spaces, next Saturday, March 29, from 20:30 to 21:30 hours.
In Cehegín will proceed to disconnect the ornamental exterior lighting of the City Hall, the arcades of the Plaza del Castillo, the Archaeological Museum, the Palace of Fajardo, the church of St. Mary Magdalene, Church of Solitude, the Holy Christ, the palace Tertia, the ruins of the chapel of San Sebastian, the hermitage of the Virgen de la Peña, the convent of San Esteban, the Youth Space and the arc of the Plaza of Spain.
'Earth Hour 2014' aims to involve more than one billion people and mobilize 7,000 cities around the world to show global support for action against climate change by turning off lights of its main buildings and monuments.
Maria Dolores Carrasco has appealed to all citizens, businesses and traders to adhere to campaign through the web www.horadelplaneta.es and participate actively in the fight against climate change.
