During the months of March and April, the local police are performing tasks of information to persons with dogs in the street, of the obligation to register for free on a census that is being developed and which can process in the City Centre or the local police.
"Owners of dogs are required to collect the droppings of animals to keep our city clean and take subject to the animal when traveling through roads, among other standards. Moreover, potentially dangerous dogs require special municipal authorization" reminded the council of the Environment and Public Safety, Maria Dolores Carrasco.
As of May, the owners of these animals will be reported, provided they are observed the commission of these offenses.
"With all these measures, the Council aims to improve the image of the city, maintain control of the dog population, increase the safety of the other dogs and pedestrians thereby avoiding problems of coexistence, dirt on our streets and abandoned animals" , Maria Dolores Carrasco has contextualized.
