José Soria criticizes the opposition groups to wait "at the last second" to file motions must go to the Full
Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, has responded to the allegations and findings made by the two political opposition groups in the city of Cehegín, PSOE and IU, clarifying different aspects of the failure to hold regular plenary corresponding to Friday, January 31, and on the issue of municipal employee Sports Pavilion employment suspended after admitting the theft of a significant amount of money.
About the Plenum of January, José Soria explained that was not called "for lack of enough topics and issues of interest to do so."
Soria has detailed the Friday, January 24, was the deadline for submission of motions by political groups to address the plenary session on 31 and added that at 12:45 pm that day or the PSOE and IU had submitted.
"For my part, and by the town clerk has told the spokespersons of both groups that motions must present them with a little more time because city officials have to study and issue reports and other documents," he said the mayor, who added that since November 29 last two political groups had not filed motions, "waiting for the last second to do it."
"What bothers them PSOE and IU-José Soria-stressed, is that the City $ 3,000 it costs to hold a plenary when they know perfectly well that it makes no debate today that in a fortnight the issues presented is saved; the most important thing for them is to charge for attending the plenary those not working. "
As for what happened with the municipal worker in the Sports Pavilion, José Soria has told all the facts in chronological order from that on the night of January 14 had knowledge of what happened by the Councillor for Sports.
The mayor has shown a writing signed by Amancio Amores Plasencia which recognizes and claims to have been "stealing money since I started working in 1990."
Some of that money, 54,170 euros, Amores gave Plasencia and that night of January 14, in the presence of the municipal treasurer, was deposited in the safe of the City.
The Mayor has detailed events elapsed during the January 15, including the income of the money in a checking account of the City, the remission of all information to the court and the prosecution and custody of all computers in the Sports Pavilion by Local police, suspension of employment of that worker and holding a Board of extraordinary and urgent Government.
On the morning of January 16, José Soria recalled that he met with the spokespersons of the PSOE and IU groups to inform them of everything that happened and all steps taken.
"IU spokesman then calls for the establishment of a commission of inquiry and make an audit by the Court of Auditors, where the agency does audits at the request of anyone," said José Soria, who added that the City sends all years accounts to this court and has never detected an anomaly.
As for the criticisms from the PSOE, José Soria has reminded his spokesman that Amancio Amores Plasencia went to work at City Hall in 1990, this ruling party, and has shown both the contract and the minutes of the day making possession of his job.
"PSOE spokesman affects uncontrolled accounts of the City, and with it all it does is discredit and humiliate the work of officials of the City Council, because neither the mayor nor the council handle any money," he added.
The mayor ended his appearance by stating that the accounts of the City "are not clear, very clear," and invited the PSOE and IU to report to Justice "if they see irregularities."
