The Spanish football Federation, located Cehegín is promoting the consideration of this discipline as a sport
Councillor for Sports, Antonio Marín, presented, accompanied by members of the Spanish football Federation, the International Table Soccer Tournament or 'Cehegín Foosball Festival', an event that will take place on 8 and 9 February at the Sports Pavilion 'Loli de Gea', bringing together lovers of the sport in Spain and that the mayor has called "party for the football."
This tournament has itinerant character, last year was held in Madrid earlier this year in Benidorm and stops in Cehegín, a town which is also headquarters of the Federation of Spanish football.
This event brings together the two types of football that exists: the two legs, the most popular in Spain, and one leg.
One feature is that there will be a side event with tables adapted for people with disabilities can participate.
The event will be divided into two tournaments: one international on Saturday February 8 beginning at 10:00 am in individual format and 16:00 hours doubles format.
The Saturday afternoon tournament five provincial selections of Spanish football model that have reached the end and are Alicante, Cuenca, Valencia, Albacete and Murcia will be played.
In this tournament gifts from the audience will be drawn.
On Sunday February 9 will begin at 11:00 hours the final phase of Levante in the Copa Spanish football model where the participation of more than 90 people of all communities in Spain, classified in previous tournaments.
All tournaments score for the national and international ranking.
This tournament will be free for all Murcia and cehegineros proving it and the Federation of Murcia football pay the costs of international license which does not.
Further components will be present in the Spanish national football coach and the same.
Sports Councilman thanked the Spanish football Federation's work developed, and explained that the care of these young people has led them to move, create different tournaments and even promote consideration of football as a sport, which is close be achieved.
Antonio Marín has also stressed the importance of the tournament to include people with disabilities and in this sense has spoken of the importance of adapted sports.
Finally, the council has encouraged all cehegineros fill the pavilion during the weekend and enjoy this party.
