The Councillor for Public Safety, Maria Dolores Carrasco has reported that recently there have been meetings of the Local Coordination Committee Against Gender Violence and Police Coordination Board on Gender Violence.
"Both have a common goal, which is to prevent and manage cases of domestic violence in our town, although the first works to coordinate all agencies and councils implicadosen this topic, and the second focuses on police activity and coordination" , explained Carrasco.
At the first meeting has been discussed, among others, to perform an information campaign in schools, where students themselves are involved in its implementation, "aimed at educating our youth on mutual respect of both sexes" as announced by the President of the Local Coordination Committee Against Gender Violence and Councillor for Women and Equality, María del Mar de Béjar.
In the second session used different cases of domestic violence and occurred in the last six months, since the last meeting table, putting the data at their disposal local police, Civil Guard and the City social workers in common CAVI and to give a better response to each case.
The Guardia Civil explained that complaints have decreased over the same period last year.
