Cehegín City Council, through the Department of Education, has delivered around 17,000 euros to banks books of all schools of Primary and Secondary municipality.
The mayor, José Soria, and the Councillor for Education, Nicholas del Toro, have made delivery of the checks to representatives of the Associations of Parents of Students (AMPAS) of various schools and colleges of the town and villages.
Nicolás del Toro explained that banks are widespread books this school year in almost all schools with a pretty good balance, "thanks to the teaching staff of the centers and of course those parents who were both involved" .
Councilman Education has clarified that the money given "will serve the AMPAS for operation of the bank books the next school year."
Del Toro has said that this distribution of money, having as criteria the number of students in each school, it is just and equitable that the aid that the City gave above, often scarce or insufficient, and were based on income families, turning occasionally paradoxical situations with giving money to families who needed it less and vice versa.
"The City Council urged the bank book, giving a little help now, but the bank book would not have been possible without the help of parents and teachers," stressed Nicolás del Toro.
Also, the council has stated that with this book bank is also fosters caring textbooks, because the next course should be used by other students.
Secondary institutes Alquipir Argos and Vega were the two centers have received more input, more than 4,000 euros each course to be the most students have.
Nicolás del Toro explained that the Children's centers was handed about 3,000 euros through Social Services.
