The hall of the House of Culture of Cehegín filled public last Saturday to attend the concert of the Musical Society and Youth Band Cehegín offered as every year around this time to celebrate the patron saint of musicians, Santa Cecilia.
This edition was another reason to celebrate: the recent triumph of musical training in the XXIII National Music Band Contest "City of Murcia ', it held on November 10 at the Teatro Romea capital.
The concert, directed by Rafael Gonzalez, began with a performance by the Youth Band, who played four pieces you highlighted the good work of the soloists and in which he highlighted the quarry that has this excellent musical training.
In the second part of the Musical Society acted Cehegín playing the paso doble 'Spain cañí' by Pascual Marquina, 'Danzon No. 2' Marquez and 'Bonaparte' Otto M.
Schwarz, the piece chosen formation of choice to participate in the contest held in the Romea and that led him to win over the other two bands of music participants.
The concert, presented by Alfonso Gil, a regular contributor to the Musical Society Cehegín, attended by the mayor, José Soria, and Alderman of Culture, Nicholas del Toro.
