On 19 October is World Day Against Breast Cancer, and to commemorate this day and ask to make continued the fight against this disease, many people, mostly women, have taken to the streets clad in shirts and Cehegín pink glasses to participate in the VI March "One mile for them", which started from the Plaza del Mesoncico minutes after 12:00.
The council of Women, Maria del Mar de Béjar, Social Services, María José de Maya, Safety, Maria Dolores Carrasco, and Health, Pepa Carreño, participated in the march along with the president of the local board of the Spanish Association of Fight Against Cancer, Rosario Fernandez.
After touring the slope of Parador, Murcia road, the Gate Square, the streets Begastri, Carmen Conde and Gran Via, the march has finished in the Alpargatero, where read a statement of support for those who suffer from this disease and demanding help and resources to fight it.
This place has shut down the activities along this week Cehegín have developed to commemorate this day, and have been aimed at providing information about the disease and raise awareness of the importance of prevention to prevent its occurrence.
