To publicize its work and the benefits to the mother and baby breastfeeding has been the main aim of the event which this morning held in association Lactocrianza Cehegín Alpargatero Square, where you installed first an information stand where mothers have gathered throughout the Northwest Region to coincide with the celebration of World Breastfeeding Week Substitutes.
Woman Councilwoman Maria del Mar de Béjar, explained that Lactocrianza is an association of mothers has been running about eight years and meets regularly to exchange experiences.

From Lactocrianza have explained some of the benefits for nursing mothers, as it speeds postpartum recovery, protects against postpartum depression, promotes weight loss and reduces the risk of breast cancer and ovarian cancer.
Also the baby has many benefits from feeding on breast milk, such as strengthening the immune system, prevention of sudden death syndrome, prevention of allergies and promote cognitive development.
