The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia, in the framework of the "Operational Plan of police response to drug trafficking and entertainment areas", within the special device safety prevention Cehegín established on the occasion of the celebration of its festivities, have broken criminal group composed of three people who allegedly engaged in drug trafficking "retail" as travelers.
Those arrested were caught in a police who tried to escape, and they have seized 85 grams of hashish and 711 euros in cash, supposedly from the distribution of drugs, as well as useful for handling them
The performances took place last week as part of a special device to prevent safety conducted by the Guardia Civil in Cehegín coinciding with the celebration of the patron saint of the town.
The numerous services on the device were aimed at monitoring the entertainment areas of the city most vulnerable to suffer civil disturbance or any other crime.
In one of the checks of vehicles and persons established in Cehegín, agents specializing in safety prevention detected how a vehicle police tried to wriggle out of the device, finally being withheld.
During the inspection of the vehicle and the identification of the three occupants of tourism showed numerous doses of hashish, cash and tools for handling and preparation of doses, so we proceeded to the arrest and subsequent remand in custody of the three members of the criminal group, suspected of crimes against public health (drug trafficking).
The police investigations have established that the three arrested, allegedly had just made hashish sales in the local fairgrounds, integrated a criminal group that distributed regional mobility of itinerant drug consumers in the Northwest region.
Detained
The Civil Guard has carried out the arrest, suspected of public health crime (drug trafficking) of the three members of the criminal group identified as:
- Ringleader, Moroccan, 39, who lives in Cehegín.
- Moroccan, 38, who lives in San Pedro del Pinatar.
- Moroccan, 32, who lives in Cehegín.
One of those arrested has a criminal.
Effects seized
In the performance have seized 85 grams of hashish and 711 euros in cash, allegedly obtained the drug trade, and useful for the handling and preparation of doses.
The detainees, effects seized and proceedings have been brought before the Court of Instruction No. 2 Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia).
