The Sierra is the natural Quípar starring in the month of August a new tourism route Nature, an initiative of the Department of Tourism led by Francisco Abril Cehegín and that since last February, in its second edition, aims to discover some of the many natural sites of high ecological and environmental treasures ceheginero township.
"Cehegín has a wide variety of landscapes and natural areas. We find dense forests and arid plains, fertile valleys, high mountains and gentle valleys, growing areas, plains, canyons and streams. Through these routes we want to bring this wealth to all stakeholders , and in the month of August can be a good activity for those who are enjoying their holidays in Cehegín "explained Councillor of Tourism.
In previous months issues, participants have discovered routes in places like the bank of the River Argos, the Barranco de los 7 Colores, The Mines gutter or San Antonio.
On this occasion, on Saturday August 24, those who are starting on the hiking have a good chance to discover the Sierra del Quípar through a distance of 8 kilometers to be covered in about 3 hours or so.
This is an area with low scrub pines and where it is not uncommon to observe species like raptors and deer.
The tours are free, but those interested should register in advance at the Tourist Office, every day from 10 to 14 pm and Friday and Saturday afternoon also, either through email or phone info@turismocehegin.es 968,723,550.
