The film tells the story of Martin of Ambel, one ceheginero seventeenth century, after committing a murder, lived for nearly 40 years locked up in the Church of the Conception
When the shooting of the film 'Ambel' has come to Ecuador, Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria and Communication Councilman Francisco in April, have delivered this morning film director, José María López, the amount of $ 3,000 as sponsoring this film project, an amount which will add another 2,000 euros from the region.
In a press conference which was also attended by the film's screenwriter, José Antonio Ruiz, Manuel Menárguez and actor, who plays the main character, Martin of Ambel, Councilman Francisco Abril has highlighted the importance of this initiative, that has excited many residents of the town and it will become a way of promoting Cehegín and history.
For this reason, April has ensured that the City has also been excited about this project and, despite the poor economic situation, has agreed to collaborate not only economically, one of the sponsors, but also by providing the municipal staff shooting .
This staff, among which includes police officers and members of Local Works and Services, is actively involved in logistical work and infrastructure installation or removal.
For his part, the mayor emphasized the illusion of a team of over 100 people and led by young director who works selflessly for months for this project.
José Soria said that 'Ambel' is a project that all the people of Cehegín has endorsed, and which is excited the entire population.
In fact, more than 400 cehegineros have participated as extras or playing various roles in the film.
The director, José María López, thanked the City its full cooperation and the many people who have made this project, which is scheduled for release September 2014.
Lopez praised the selfless work of many people who have worked with the film in many ways, and also claimed a form of filmmaking with more enthusiasm and effort and less budget.
The hearing was held at the Church of the Conception, one of the film locations for being the sacred where Ambel Martin Knight lived more than three decades refugee from justice for the murder of Alonso de Góngora.
