The municipalities of Caravaca de la Cruz and Cehegín will launch a device that reduces overall copper thefts in both municipalities.
The heads of the departments of Public Safety and Urban Development of the two town councils have held a meeting to promote preventive measures and coordinate new policing control.
The two councils have agreed to exchange information on the 'modus operandi' and increase the frequency of controls, both in places susceptible to theft, such as farms, factories, transformers and lighting, as in access to potential receptors establishments materials.
At the meeting, in addition to planning a series of actions, we have made balance thefts in recent months, as well as highlights police actions which have resulted in the seizure of stolen copper material.
The meeting was attended by councilors cehegineros Maria Dolores Carrasco and Juan Antonio Chico, and caravaqueños, Juan Francisco Jiménez Door and Salvador Gomez, along with officials of the local police in both towns.
