The councilman of Culture, Nicholas del Toro, has highlighted the high quality of the companies and the players involved in the Amateur Theatre Festival X Cehegín City, which was held last May.
Del Toro was speaking at the awards ceremony of this competition, whose jury was chaired by the council and has had as secretary Door Miguel and Jose Gonzalez and Mercedes Ródenas as members.
The first award was for Best Entertainment for 'CrI, Cri, Crak' Yampo theater group while the show 'This or This' company Citizen + Ayeklawn Collective has won the second prize.
The award for Best Director was awarded to Dany Moreno and Alejandro Rodriguez Best Actor in Antonio Sanchez and Best Actress in Elena Gutierrez.
The mayor, Jose Soria, expressed his satisfaction at the level reached in this year's competition and has shown the local municipal amateur groups in the region, assessing the efforts made to disseminate the culture.
Soria has assured that it will continue to pursue amateur theater in future editions of this show.
