The artistic production of Nicholas of Maya as seen through the eyes of the students of the College of Education and Primary (CEIP) Begastri City theme painting exhibition can be seen until next Thursday, June 6, in the House of Culture of Cehegín and has been opened by the mayor, José Soria, Councillor for Culture, Nicolas del Toro and Nicholas of Maya itself.
The school has worked and deepened in recent months in the artistic creations of this ceheginero, studying the most characteristic of his work and even visiting his studio-workshop, located in the old town of Cehegín.
In addition, the artist has visited the school to talk with students, to see how the work performed and explain what the process of creating one of his works, encouraging children to continue cultivating artistic hobby.
The horse, the bull, flowers and other recurring elements in the work of Nicholas of Maya are recreated by the hands of schoolchildren.
The works are grouped by type and levels and can be purchased by parents at nominal prices to work for a good cause.
