Around 20 artisans from the region of Murcia in different areas involved in Cehegín Craft Show has been inaugurated this afternoon by the Director General of Trade, Craft, María Dolores Alarcon Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, and Councillor for Tourism and Trade, Francisco in April, and the president of the Association Mursiya Artisan Jose Bielsa.
Pottery, leather, crystal and glass, metalwork, bookbinding, sweet, wood carving, sausage, goat cheese and other disciplines and products can be found in this exhibition will remain open until Sunday afternoon.
The fair, as explained Francisco in April, has been timed to coincide with the weekend of the festival of San Isidro to be a complement to the events planned.
Alongside the stalls there throughout the weekend demonstration workshops and exhibitions of pottery, traditional toys, making leather bracelets and key chains.
Maria Dolores Alarcon said the support from the regional administration has been paid to regional artisans and highlighted the important role they play to maintain offices and deep-rooted traditions.
For his part, José Soria has welcomed the work of these artisans and has stated that it is important to support such initiatives especially in these times.
