On the occasion of Mother's Day, Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, and Councilwoman Women and Equality, María del Mar de Béjar, visited at his home in the street Virtues Gonzalez Velazquez Ecija, of 98 years, which is elderly mother who lives in the town ceheginero.
Accompanied by her only daughter, Maria Rosa, his son Domingo, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, virtues received from the mayor a plaque commemorating this day and a bouquet of flowers.
Born February 1, 1915, Virtues and his four siblings were left motherless at an early age, through many hardships.
Throughout his life held many jobs, always collaborating with family finances while raising her only daughter.
Councilwoman Maria del Mar de Béjar highlights the good reception given by the family and has been relaxed during the tribute.
"I also want to emphasize how combine in this family several generations, and how they reflect the different stages of life, from the serenity of the great-grandmother to the joy and vitality of the little" stressed the council.
