BEGASTRI CB 83 - 79 ALICANTE LUCENTUM
This past Sunday, April 28 took place last game for the national championship day 1st Division in our pavilion ceheginero Loli de Gea.
The game marked another victory for our CB Begastri in their walk this year for this complicated category, finishing the regular season with an incredible balance of 22 wins and 4 losses in 26 rounds played.
The obtained first position not only gives us the immediate promotion to the EBA league, but also the ability to play the final for which team will be champion this 1st National Division.
This final will be played on Sunday, May 5 at the home of the rival, in Almassera (Valencia) and will be the last game of the season for the teams.
So, this game against Lucentum has meant the last chance to see this team Cehegín champion.
The input of the computer game was pretty good with a 8-3 start as partial, but the opponent quickly recovered from the initial shock and slowly tied the game in the following minutes of the fourth.
The quarter ended with a score of 20-17 to Begastri.
With a much more balanced attack and defense by both teams wandered the second quarter, the pressing defense of both teams rather more refined and the quality of play rose more integers.
But the score did not unbalanced towards either side, although a small arreón visitor at the end of the room allowed visitors to march break sending the result, 42-44.
The third quarter was a difficult moment for our team, the other team did better on the second half and managed to open small differences in its favor, 50-57 7 minutes of the third quarter, but a partial 14-4 in those three minutes late the third quarter returned the lead to Begastri on the scoreboard, 64-61.
The last period was the one that allowed our team to claim victory, our attack to the opponent's team area improved and got more intense on defense and close the rebound more efficiently, all allowed the team to enter the last two minutes with a lead of 10 points on the scoreboard, 80-70, but then lost three consecutive well used by Alicante pulled the score to 80-77 in the absence than 40 seconds left.
Luckily the team was able to calm down and play well those 40 seconds remaining, ending the match with the final result for the hosts 83-79.
The next Sunday afternoon at 18:00 hours, our team will visit Almassera in what is the end to this successful season, we hope to narrate here the final victory to close with the best possible taste this season dream that our players have given us.
