Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, Associations and Councilwoman Maria del Mar de Béjar, have delivered this morning a $ 500 grant to the Association for the Fight Against Cancer Cehegín, to help this group with the work develops in the prevention and investigation of this disease.
The president of the association, Rosario Fernandez, has received a grant from the mayor and wanted to thank this aid, "which is a very important support."
The association holds throughout the year various activities, both medical and social, in order to prevent disease in the first case, and with the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of fighting it.
This year, the mobile unit of the association has conducted more than 1,000 mammograms to women between 50 and 69 years.
Also, make a charity collection on the streets of Cehegín on the morning of September 10 and a healthy start on October 19.
Rosario Fernandez asked cehegineros collaboration at all and offered the help of the association to those in need.
