Cehegín City Council, through the Department of Education has launched the program 'Alternatives to Expulsion', which is included within the Plan Truancy Prevention.
The project 'Alternatives to Expulsion' is proposed as an alternative for students temporarily expelled three secondary schools in the municipality (IES Vega of Argos, IES Alquipir and subsidized school Our Lady of Wonders).
"The students, instead of staying home or walking down the street during the period of expulsion, conduct a socio work besides making the work entrusted by the teachers in the House of Music", as explained by the Councillor for Education Nicolas del Toro.
More Education Association will be responsible for carrying out this project and will work different areas (social skills, values ​​education, motivation for change, etc..) With children expelled from schools, providing them with new tools they can use in their every day, both in the academic and social family, added del Toro.
