The runners-up Spain Rhythmic Gymnastics Base in cadet category, the Ana Morales ceheginera Gate, has been declared a high performance athlete by the Department of Physical Activity and Sport (DGAFD) of the Autonomous Community.
After the success achieved last year 2012 in Benidorm, clinching the silver medal in the Rhythmic Gymnastics National Base, Ana Morales has earned this recognition.
The gymnast ceheginera represent the region, with the Selection Murcia, in the Queen's Cup to be held between 25 and 28 April this year in Zaragoza and in the Championship of Spain of Youth to be held in San Javier from 17 to 19 May.
Furthermore, it is noteworthy achievements on Saturday by other members of City Gymnastics Club in the Regional Championship Cehegín Single Base, held at the Prince of Asturias Pavilion Murcia with the following results:
Ana M ª Acute Regional classified 2nd ring, juvenile category.
M ª Angeles Martinez, 2nd Regional classified hoop cadet.
Maria Espin, 3rd Regional classified hoop cadet.
Patricia Robles, ranked 4th Regional hoop juvenile category.
These four gymnasts have qualified to represent the club in the next ceheginero Spain Championship Single Base to be held in Zaragoza from 25 to 28 April, which is expected to equal or surpass the gold and silver medals collected in their respective categories in 2012 in Benidorm and Ana Maria Morales Espin respectively.
