Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, and Councilman Works and Services, Juan Antonio Chico, visited the works of improvement and consolidation of the pavement of the square of the Castle, the Old Town enclave that rise in some of the buildings representative of the town, including the church of St. Mary Magdalene, the palace of Fajardo, the former building of the Council or the arcades.
The floor was paved in the 80s of last century based on river pebbles sitting on dry cement mortar, grout and washing.
"Due to the passage of time and the effect it has on the pavement road traffic, the pavement of the square had practically lost the mortar that enveloped the songs, with the obvious danger and inconvenience posed to the people walking by this place , "said the councilman.
Juan Antonio Chico explained that these works two objectives: first, to avoid the problems and inconvenience to citizens and, on the other hand, total observance of the original paving of the square.
"Therefore, the material used is a mortar dosed 400, 6 hours retardant, fiber and color land, which is being developed and provided by the company ceheginera Pateta" has detailed Chico, who added that the works are being executed by the staff of Works and Services of the City of Cehegín.
