Councilman Works and Services, Juan Antonio Chico, visited the start of the rehabilitation and consolidation of house number 2 in the old square, known as the House of Pinata, nestled in the heart of Old Cehegín .
The building was in a state of ruin eminent because it was a house whose ownership was shared between the municipality and an individual, and it is currently uninhabited.
"The City Council has opted for the recovery and not the demolition of housing to be in an environment of the Old Town, in the Old Town Square, next to the door of the Villa or Canara, XV century, it was one of access points to the town of Cehegín when he was surrounded by a wall. Their demolition would have caused a negative visual impact of the silhouette of our people, "said the councilman.
Such works have included the demolition and construction of a new deck facade on the old square and repair and re-roof deck overlooking the rear facade and on the top floor of the partition demolition and strengthening the structure by perimeter hoop.
Also be held in the coming days the plaster of the main facade of the house.
All these actions have an overall budget of 19,900 euros and are made by the company ceheginera Juyma Fences.
