The woodturning, pottery and esparto, handicrafts all who value the work done with the hands and refuse to disappear, were the stars of a new edition of the market 'The Mesoncico', which has been in the wine land and tasting of typical 'rin-ran' gastronomic complement on a cold winter day.
The proofs of these ancient crafts, as linked to the history of Cehegín, have attracted the attention of young and old, who have observed the process of creating handmade pottery, esparto or wood from natural raw materials to the final result.
Many visitors took the opportunity to purchase any of these products.
The Plaza del Castillo, one of the most beautiful urban enclaves Cehegín with monuments such as the Church of St. Mary Magdalene, the palace of the Fajardo or the old town hall was decked with flags and pastry and filled with more than 50 craft stalls from all over the Northwest Region and other parts of the Region of Murcia who have offered sausages, homemade bread, sweets, gifts or decoration.
The market has coincided with the first day of the V Top Road and cocktail and the next edition will be held on the fourth Sunday in April, since in March will not happen to coincide with Palm Sunday.
