Mother Maravillas of Jesus, canonized by John Paul II in Madrid in 2003 and closely linked to Cehegín familiarly by the mother's side of the Chico de Guzmán and received his baptism as the name of the patron saint of the town, begin to be publicly venerated by the Brotherhood of Our Lady of First Sorrow from next Easter.
Nazarene Corporation, popularly known as 'The Blues', has achieved a relic of the Holy Mother from the convent of the Discalced Carmelites of the Aldehuela (Madrid) where his tomb.
"The sisters of the convent where his grave that we have been awarded first class relic with Rome postulator document naming him, thereby creating a link between the Brotherhood of the First Lady of Pain and the Discalced Carmelites through St. Maravillas of Jesus and Our Lady owner ", explained from the penitential confraternity.
The relic will be exposed to the mass public presentation of the Brotherhood of the First Lady of Pain on 23 March, Easter Saturday, at 19:00 in the parish of Our Lady of Wonderland.
During Holy Week procession will both Holy Thursday and Good Friday at the feet of the image holder, First Lady of Pain.
BIOGRAPHICAL
Maravillas Pidal and Chico de Guzmán was born in Madrid on November 4, 1891.
On October 12, 1919 entered the Carmel of El Escorial.
On May 19, 1924, having received a divine inspiration, founded the Carmel of the Cerro de Los Angeles, near the monument to the Heart of Jesus, which was followed by nine other Carmelite foundations in Spain and one in India.
The December 11, 1974 died in the Carmel of La Aldehuela (Madrid), the penultimate of the grounds for it, where they worship her body.
Blessed John Paul II elevated it to the altar with the beatification in Rome on May 10, 1998, and solemnly canonized in Madrid on May 4, 2003, on his last visit to Spain.
