After the plenary session on 9 November and today, the PSOE Cehegín has supported a measure proposed by the local government, at the behest of own Technology Center marble and stone, so that it can continue to finance and develop its work in areas such as training, research, development and innovation or studies for sustainable extraction with the environment.
Declares the Municipal Socialist Party spokesman Jose Rafael Rocamora, "we can not let the technology center disappears and with it, their innovation and research work that may cause the sector to return in the future part of the importance it had in years past ".
Furthermore, as stated by the socialist mayor, "even though the marble sector has destroyed many jobs over the years, if we drop this center, we will lose the jobs it creates, both direct and indirect, but above all, the possibility to create more in the future. "
Rocamora adds that "from the PSOE of Cehegín we highlight the importance of R + D + i (Research, Development and Innovation), as abandoned by the present national government People's Party" and continues: "save the Technology Center and Marble Stone is the duty of all cehegineros because any productive sector, without innovation and research new formulas allowing more efficient and competitive production is doomed to failure.
