Successful Days Cehegín Civil Protection, which are among the three most important in Spain, have focused on its eighth year in recognition of the work of the volunteers who helped Lorca after the earthquakes suffered last year.
The presidential adviser, Manuel Campos, general director of Public Safety, Luis Gestoso, Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, the Councillor for Public Safety, Maria Dolores Carrasco, and Civil Protection Coordinator Cehegín, José Moya, delivered replicas Silver Cross of the Civil Order of Social Solidarity to these volunteers.
Soria seized the moment to indicate that "if today are days like this, in which so many people and so important is because we have an excellent coordinator, who is Pepe Moya".
In addition, the Minister said that "these days are the essence of Civil Protection, and comprising all the bodies."
And is that these days have been represented by the Civil Defence volunteers and special bodies of all municipalities of the Region of Murcia, as well as speakers from La Coruna, Valencia, Andalusia and Madrid, forming a large conference.
This was held at the Center for Integrated Public Safety and Mill Pool Club Chico, where rescue drills were held underwater, with boats, dogs and divers.
It has also given lectures 'Large international earthquakes', 'major emergencies at sea', 'Personal security for foreign missions' and 'New projects for the operation of the ANAV'.
