Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, Women's and Councilwoman Maria del Mar de Bejar, have visited Ana Maria Sanchez Lopez, who has recently turned 100 years, so it has paid a tribute.
This centuries-old mother Cehegín is the second of five children.
At 8 years her father died, so that, together with his brothers and mother had to work in the economy of the house, working in sandals and laboring earth.
Of the five siblings only survives her.
He married 20 years and was widowed after 60 years of marriage.
He had two daughters and a son, who died some years ago.
Currently being cared for by her two daughters who give, along with 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, all the love and affection in the world.
Councilwoman De Bejar, who presented him with a bouquet of flowers and a plaque, has sent "warmest congratulations to our Dona Ana, in particular, and his family in general. Congratulations to all."
