The Department of the Environment, directed by Maria Dolores Carrasco, has launched a series of activities marking the celebration of World Environment Day, June 5 next.
The different activities are aimed at children of school age, "for his great capacity to assimilate new knowledge and behaviors, as well as being a powerful source of dissemination of information received from the families," as stated by the mayor.
The activities are already preceded by a talk about biodiversity, aimed at students of 3 rd and 4 th of precedence, issued by the Cajamar Foundation and will be completed the coming days with other waste and street cleaning, for students of 5 th grade, conducted by CESPA, company managing the Ecopark.
Also on Thursday 31 prizes will be awarded the 'School Poster Contest III World Environment Day', the winner will illustrate the campaign this year.
All works can be seen in an exhibition held at the House of Culture of Cehegin.
Also on Tuesday, June 5, organized by the departments of Forestry and Environment, will be a reforestation day with students from 2nd Primary of different schools on Mount Public Utility 34th, Rambla de Gilico and The Cambrones, near the forest road access to the Ecological Park.
