Espin Maria Ruiz and Ana Maria Morales Puerta, Gymnastics Club 'Cehegín City', have achieved gold and silver medal respectively in the National Championship Base, held in Benidorm.

Maria Espin, in junior category, finished first among 206 gymnasts from all over Spain, achieving a score of 17,475 points.

With 12 years of age, has been practicing and competing for eight years, this being its third appearance in a national individual basis.

Meanwhile, Ana Maria Morales in cadet category, has been the silver with a score of 16,225 points, between 185 gymnasts.

This ceheginera, 15, has been competing a decade, the second time you saw a national.

Both athletes were greeted by crowds of people in Cehegin Alpargatero Square, where they were loaded with honors and was held together for this historic achievement ceheginera rhythmic gymnastics.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 24, both will be received at City Hall by Mayor Joseph Cehegín Soria and the Councillor for Sports, Antonio Marin (13.30 pm in City Hall).
