The City Council has paralyzed Cehegín tendering process was underway to award the works of the second stage of the auditorium, because of the change undergone by the agreement with the Autonomous Region for the payment thereof.
Planned, in a multi-year agreement, that the money was left to the Community to contribute came in 2012 and 2013, but due to the adjustment measures being taken by the regional administration, these contributions will go to the years 2014 and 2015.
Therefore, the City Council has decided to postpone the bidding process until the end of next year and, thus, not causing any problems billing the company to be awarded, nor cause problems to the municipal coffers.
Still, it has been deemed appropriate to remove promptly to tender a contract to perform some works of consolidation and protection of structures built now, not to suffer any damage and be all ready to proceed with the project as soon as possible, amounting to approximately one million euros, so that before long there will be people working again in the work.
