Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, Montes Councilman Joaquin Marin, and users of the Association of Relatives and Northwest Mental Illness 'AFEMNOR' 800 plants have been distributed to citizens on the occasion of World Forestry Day celebration.

This would have given black pine seedlings, broom, white cistus and pine resinero donated by DG Environment of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.

The councilman said that "with this type of activity we want to present the natural wealth we have in the region", while adding that "it would be nice who have received one of these plants, sown in the mountain."

For his part, Mayor Soria has stressed the importance of natural areas in Cehegin, saying that "we have some extraordinary mountains, which are part of the rich heritage of the locality."
