Public Safety Councilwoman Maria Dolores Carrasco, has reported that "thanks to the cooperation of the citizens of the municipality, on January 29 held a joint action between local police officers and Civil Guard Cehegín aimed at prevent drug trafficking in the locality. "
This performance has been seized the amount of 22 acorns of hashish, with a total weight of 209 grams, and a precision electronic balance, used for the sale of the said fractional narcotic substance.
As a result of this joint action between police forces, the result is three persons charged with a crime against public health.
Local Police is stepping up surveillance in all areas of the municipality in order to try to eliminate trafficking and consumption of all types of illegal substances.
Carrasco has encouraged the public to be involved in these tasks by providing information.
