Jose Santos Abril was elected coordinator of IU-Cehegín Greens for the next four years by the local assembly held this weekend.
Santos Abril, agent and affiliate of IU-Green since 1992, succeeds Juan Fernández de Moya.
The assembly also elected the new Local Policy Council (PLC), made in April Santos, Fernandez de Moya, Ginés Martínez, Antonio Luis Terrones, Jose Antonio Duran, Esperanza Josefa López, José María Teresa Duran and Rodriguez.
The newly elected coordinator undertook to strengthen the organization, because "only a strong political force can drive institutional work, and to carry out a serious and constructive opposition in order to improve the living conditions of residents of Cehegín. "
Fernandez de Moya made a report on their management during the past four years, in which he highlighted the work of IU-Greens against "extravagance and opulence" of the council, and the role of "fundamental" played by the Young Communist League.
Meanwhile, the Councillor for the left-wing organization in the municipality, María José Rodríguez, referred to the work of institutional work in the last six months.
The meeting also attended by the Spokesman of the Presidency of IU-Green, Jose Maria Ortega, who encouraged attendees to continue working on the same line.
