Celebrations Councilman Ruben Sanchez, has announced that "the festival of San Antón, the patron saint of animals, come to the hamlet of El Chaparral, from 13 to 15 January with a weekend full of events," including which are the days of the famous 'pot', the auction of animals, crumbs 'death pig' and fires, among others.

PROGRAMMING:

Friday, January 13:

16 hours: Slaughter of pigs at the home of 'Uncle Oranges', making black pudding and sausages, and peeling onions.

Saturday, January 14:

9 am: Departure to the bush to collect firewood to be used during the weekend.

14 pm: Crumbs 'death pig'.

21 pm: Barbecue with grilled meats and live music.

23 pm: Bonfire of fire.

Sunday, January 15:

14 hours: Pots 'death pig'.

16 am: Mass in honor of St. Anthony, and blessing of the animals at the fairgrounds.

Then the holy procession through the streets of the hamlet.
