The photo studio ceheginero Photos Lopez has given the Regional Archive of Murcia historical background, made up of hundreds of thousands of photographs, taken from the 40's until 2003.
The Director General of Cultural Assets, Francisco Giménez, received this collection of snapshots Lopez Pictures at an event in which they have been present Cehegín Mayor Jose Soria, Councillor for Culture, Nicolas del Toro, many photographers Murcia and the world of amateur photography.
Fernanda and Jose Maria Antonia Lopez have been responsible for delivering this important material, prepared by his father, Ginés López, the mayor called "the Cehegín photographer."
And this collection has more than 65,000 plate negatives and hundreds of thousands of film negatives.
José María López explained that "we let go of our photo archive, but this way we share it with everyone," adding that "my father, who was self-taught, has perpetuated the visual history of our town."
