The Councillor for Citizen Security, María Dolores Carrasco, reported that "a young ceheginero 21 years of age had to be rescued last night at Peña Rubia, after suffering a spectacular accident while paragliding."
The incident occurred yesterday, when at 21.05, the Central Local Police received a call from Cehegín CECOP, warning that a youth had had an accident with a glider at Peña Rubia.
The rescue was difficult, given the low light as it was getting dark, in addition to the inaccessibility of the place where the wounded in a very steep slope of the Peña Rubia.
To the place the local police arrived, followed by Civil Protection, Police and Fire, which rescued the young man had a wound on his left arm, broken on one side and severe back pain, being immobilized and taken to the Regional Hospital of Caravaca de la Cruz.
