The major dependent Cehegín have a new Day Centre for up to 54 seats, which was inaugurated today by the Minister for Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, accompanied by the managing director of the Instituto Murciano Social Action (IMAS ), Isabel Sola, and Mayor Jose Soria.
The new center is located on Calle San Agustin, 20, and its construction has cost 1,077,118 euros, provided by the Ministry of Health and Social Policy, the Autonomous Community and the City of Cehegín.
The building has one floor, which are distributed among other agencies, nursing, two individual therapy rooms, the area of ​​geriatric rehabilitation and two showers.
In the outdoor complex is a garden, two courtyards and an area for visitors.
The center began operations on May 3 and currently serves 25 elderly dependents.
Its objectives include promoting dignified living conditions to users, ensure that they acquire the highest level of personal autonomy, prevent increased dependence and develop relations and social activities.
We also intend to promote the reconciliation of working life of family caregivers.
In addition to these new facilities, Cehegín another center, the Foundation of the Royal Mercy Hospital, where the Instituto Murciano Social Action has 52 residential places for seniors.
