The socialist council held management positions during their college
The Rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, received this morning in his office the Socialist councilor of the City of Cehegín, José Rafael Rocamora, who wanted to see first hand the views of the highest academic authority on the training problems and youth work in the Region of Murcia and in particular the hundreds of students in the municipality of Cehegín who are studying in this university.
"It's important to know the academic authorities and the business, the main challenges and social demands now and in the coming years so that young people are prepared to successfully tackle its future workforce."
Socialist secretary general said the Rector of the UMU concern about the limited career opportunities for students of a municipality as Cehegín, where unemployment has increased over the past 3 years, and where many young people are forced to migrate to other cities or provinces in the absence of employment opportunities.
The Socialist candidate interview with the Rector of the University of Murcia will be completed in the following days the students visited the three universities in the region, meetings in which José Rafael Rocamora try to hear directly the concerns and worries youth of his county, to which the Socialist councilor considers "essential" for economic recovery of a municipality "which is one of the greatest periods of economic decline in the last 20 years."
José Rafael Rocamora, BA in Economics from the University of Murcia, was a member of University Senate for 4 years and President of the Student Council, the highest body of student representation, for nearly two years.
This extended period has allowed management to have a direct and actual knowledge on major issues and concerns of young people from Murcia, many of whom have serious difficulty finding a job after completing their university education.
