María José Rodríguez has been chosen as the candidate of the United Left-Greens for mayor of Cehegín by the general assembly of members that the coalition held last weekend.
Rodriguez, a lawyer for 44 years, has extensive experience working in communities in Colombia and El Salvador, where he has held various professional duties until his return to Cehegín.
According to sources at IU-Greens in the county, the election "is a salutary lesson for the public, tired of a party mired in complacency Popular and PSOE in the process of internal decay and return to the past."
Rodriguez has expressed its intention to move to the town of Cehegín "left-wing values, equality, progress and sustainability that represents this political organization."
