Cehegín City Council within Cehegín Digital City project, has created a distance learning platform that will enable users to conduct courses of various kinds without having to attend in person to any classroom at any time of day without having to leave home.
The Councillor for New Technologies, Francisco in April, has reported that "accessing the web www.teleformacion.ceheginciudad.es, interested parties may register in any courses that are offered by both the City Council and other agencies to which they have placed links from the website. "
This platform can now find computer-related courses (initial and advanced level), which taught how to handle various free software tools such as word processor or spreadsheet from Open Office, but will be added shortly new workshops.
In addition, this new system allows students to share experiences with others who are doing the same course and solve questions through chat and forums, including making visits to tutor.
According to April, "so we provide to those who for work reasons or any reason can not attend in person to the courses are usually developed in our town, and to train in different areas of a convenient and simple."
In addition, the links to other sites that offer distance learning courses can be found as varied as embroidery, drawing, cartoon or typing, among others.
The new e-learning platform is part of Digital City Cehegín project, funded by the Ministry of Industry, through the Plan Avanza, the European Social Fund, the Autonomous Community and the City Council.
