The president of Extremadura and one of the historical socialist barons, Juan Carlos Ibarra, will visit this weekend to participate Cehegín at various events that will serve as a starting point for the fundraising of the local Socialist candidate, José Rafael Rocamora Gabarrón, an economist of 26 years and general secretary of the party in the town two years ago.

Juan Carlos Rodríguez Ibarra was born on January 19, 1948 in Mérida (Extremadura, Spain), is the former President of the autonomous community of Extremadura, a member of the Assembly in Badajoz, Secretary General of the PSOE in Extremadura, Executive Secretary of the Commission PSOE's Federal Executive and currently Professor in the operation by political affairs of the Department of Philology University of Extremadura stationed in the Faculty of Education, Badajoz.
