The Director General of Tourism, Marina García, today inaugurated the natural tourist trail 'Wonderland' of Cehegín, for which the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has allocated a total of 19,367 euros.
The trail connects with the route number 35 of the Ecotourism Trail Network, which links Cehegín to Calasparra.
The route can be done on foot or by bicycle, has a distance of 21.2 miles in a circular direction, and its origin and end is the shrine of El Campillo de los Jiménez, a hamlet northwest of Cehegín.
The bulk of the action has been focused on the placement of both directional and interpretive signage, with more than 50 signals, the conditioning of the firm and the installation of fencing in some areas and wooden benches.
Marina Garcia stressed that "the best interest of the tour focuses on the ecological elements that we are in the path."
He cited as examples Riscar stream, where they have appreciated many tree species and forests of the head of Juan Gonzalez and Los Cambrones.
Another highlight is the Ecological Park, a municipal facility and profitable for teaching purposes.
"In short, a number of points that make this ride is a tour to enjoy nature," concluded the CEO.
