Civil Guard officers have developed a research that has led to the arrest of two persons suspected of several counts of robbery with force in things.

Earlier this month the Civil Guard have launched an investigation of the commission of several robberies in rural houses located on the outskirts of the town of Cehegín, prompting alarm among the population.

Modus Operandi

The suspects operated in rural areas with little traffic at dawn.

This research has proceeded to the arrest of two persons suspected of the crime of burglary in housing, identified as:

- Spanish, 27-year-old neighbor Cehegín.

- Portuguese, aged 19 and living in Cehegín.

One detainee has a history of committing similar crimes before.

Effects recovered:

Have been seized from the stolen effects: tools, agricultural equipment and about a ton of olives, which after being made available to the judicial authorities have been returned to their rightful owners.

The detainees, the effects recovered and the proceedings initiated have been made available to the Magistrate's Court in Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia).
