The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Coca-Cola Juan Manuel Sainz de Vicuna and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), promote this initiative which aims to encourage the management of projects to encourage reading among the population of small towns, where it is more difficult to access to books and reading.
The locations of Chapinería (Madrid) and Tortosa (Tarragona) complete the list of winners
Cehegín library of Murcia has proven to be the winner of the XIII Edition of the Maria Moliner of Reading Promotion for his project "Culture and reading to everyone."
Rounding out the list of Chapinería minicipality, awarded for his project "Generation 3.0: If you remember, they will read" in the form of communities of less than 5,000 inhabitants, and the town of Tortosa, Tarragona, awarded by the project " Sumem veus: Reading Sense barriers "in the form of towns between 20,001 and 50,000 inhabitants.
This initiative, organized by the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Coca-Cola Juan Manuel Sainz de Vicuna and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), is to recognize the best projects developed to encourage reading by libraries in municipalities with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants, which is more difficult to access to books and reading.
They have also received a special mention for their quality and good practice projects submitted by libraries in the municipalities of Almunia de San Juan (Huesca), Bankruptcy (Badajoz), Tuéjar (Valencia), Fontana (Guadalajra), Los Corrales de Buelna (Cantabria) and San Javier (Murcia).
Each one of these places get a lot of 200 children's books and also winning libraries will receive a cash prize of 12,000 € each.
