Civil Defence volunteers from all over Spain gather this weekend in Cehegín, where they will celebrate the Seventh Conference on Civil Protection Volunteers, organized by the group of volunteers from that town and the Department of Public Safety and Emergency the Ministry of Justice and Public Safety.
The meeting will be inaugurated on Saturday by the Minister of Justice and Public Safety, Manuel Campos.
More than 250 people have registered to the conference, groups of volunteers belonging to Civil Protection in the Region of Murcia, Valencia, Madrid, Galicia, Castilla y Leon, Andalusia and the Basque Country.
As speakers are, among others, the Directors of Civil Defense and Emergencies of Navarra, Valencia and Murcia, as well as responsible for fire services in La Coruña, Huelva and Murcia.
During the day on Saturday, will be held roundtables on the role of Civil Defence volunteers in emergency care, the performance of volunteers with the professionals, professionalism within the voluntary and police intervention in major disasters.
Activities also features a mock charge of Underwater Rescue Team in the Region of Murcia, workshops and exhibitions of material.
