The Full Council agreed to the initial approval of the General Urban Plan of Cehegín, with the favorable votes of the popular group and the non-socialist group.
In 2008 it adopted the General Plan progress, opening a period to make suggestions to it.
These were studied by the team that wrote the plan, admitting 60 percent of them, which have been incorporated for initial approval.
The general lines of advance have been respected, having been touched up on points related to the suggestions concerned, correcting some deficiencies contained in or at the initiative of the City, or as a result of the information received from various government agencies (ministries, agencies environmental, etc.) that were issued its content.
Now open a further two months to enable citizens to learn how the Plan has been and enhance the arguments they deem appropriate.
The City Council has made available to citizens with a system whereby information from Monday to Friday and from 10 to 13 hours, there will be a technical service to the public, regardless of the meetings or visits which may be concluded with the members of Team Government.
According to the Town Planning, Gregorio Morales, "we have achieved a balanced General Plan, which respects the environment, and at the same time it enables the rational growth of the town of Cehegín and hamlets."
He also added that "in addition to increase the areas of urban land and building land, of over 29,000 hectares of the term, 28,000 of them remain protected in different ways, maintaining the protection of garden areas that are relevant to the cultivation and those classified as SCI and SPA.
After the period is now open for comment, will proceed to study them and finalization of the General Plan Zoning Cehegín, which will be provisionally approved by the council, after which will be sent to the Community Autonomous Region for final approval.
