The managing director of the Institute for Housing and Land in the Region (IVS), Jane Brown, said today on the proposed rehabilitation of the facades of 45 houses in the regional public park Cehegín, in which the regional body made a total investment of 340,000 euro.
Castaño confirmed that it is promoting "the rehabilitation and refurbishment of the facades of these 45 homes in the town of Cehegín to improve living conditions and accessibility."
The second project involves the adaptation of the facades of three blocks of flats at the confluence of streets Gabriel García Márquez and San Luis, and complements the work carried out in buildings throughout the Repair Plan, which was an improvement of the habitability of 79 housing the regional public park.
Specifically, the IVS was conducted in the first restoration project of the courtyards, the replacement of exterior woodwork, matching the electrical installation in communal areas and locksmiths, and improving access to public areas.
Also put a rubber floor and games for children in the courts, apart from that lighting and benches, and planting was carried out plant species.
It also introduced water saving systems in all homes by installing aerators on faucets, showers, toilets and sinks, and the provision of ecorreductores cistern in the toilets.
These measures fall within the plan to reduce water consumption in homes of regional public park promoted by the regional body, which will annually save 50 million liters of water.
"Through this second project is completed the adequacy of these homes to provide comfort to all tenants and neighborhood to promote coexistence through the adaptation of the common areas," concluded Brown.
