United Left Cehegín today criticized the "excessive" council-time and paid in the local municipality governed by the Popular Party, in contrast to the economic situation being experienced by citizens as a result of the crisis.
According to this political party, the municipality incurs a "lack of sensitivity in regard to the salaries of the council released and the excessive number of these", which "is not only unsupportive but is also untenable for local economy. "
In this sense, has made several proposals to contribute to saving and cost reduction "unjustified" that would help this situation "does not affect the citizens and lead to greater tax increase" and "does not alter the functioning of the council" .
One of the measures proposed by IU is the unification of the departments of Planning and Public Works and Services, together with the reduction of full-time 50 percent, which would lead to savings for municipal coffers 41,714 euros.
He has also proposed the withdrawal of the full time and paid to the Department of Festivities, Tourism, Youth, Communication and New Technologies as "their activity does not require a full-time", saving 39,999 euros for other expenditures of the municipality.
