About 150 students of Primary 1 of the schools of Cehegín, have participated in the first activity developed within the project, "Cehegín and its environment", launched by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment, which directs María José Martínez.
This is an ambitious environmental education plan aimed at students of 1st, 3rd and 5th grade of Primary Education, with the aim of raising awareness of three of the great potentials of this municipality: agriculture, cultural heritage and natural spaces .
This first proposal, included in this program, is the one called "Cehegín y su Agricultura".
It has been directed, as we have mentioned, to the students of the first year of primary education of all the schools of the locality.
In it, the children have been made aware of the agricultural potential of the municipality, with special emphasis on a booming product such as the cut flower, and in which, all of them have enjoyed a visit to the cooperative " Canaraflor "and the greenhouses of the area.
